Abstract

Ghana is politically and economically stable, even though it is located in West Africa, which has been, and continues to be, characterized by conflict. However, elections are coming up in Ghana in December that easily could turn violent due to the political parties’ vigilante groups. With names like ‘Pentagon’ and ‘Al-Qaeda,’ they are increasingly acting as independent security actors.
