Abstract

This paper offers a brief examination of Denmark's nuclear arms control and disarmament policies, spanning from the Cold War to the present day. It explores Denmark's historical balancing act between NATO commitments and domestic antinuclear sentiment, as well as its contributions to disarmament initiatives. The paper highlights post-Cold War shifts, including renewed transatlantic alignments and challenges posed by emerging technologies. It concludes by discussing the opportunities and obstacles Denmark faces in advancing multilateral nuclear disarmament and arms control in the coming years.
