The New Psychology of War: Trauma, Subjectivity, and the Militarization of Positive Psychology

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project explores the militarization of positive psychology in the wake of the
wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The recent military use of positive psychology to train resilience in American and Danish soldiers was implemented without any pilot study and amounts to the largest psychological experiment ever undertaken. Our overarching research question is: What are the philosophical and psychological implications of the militarization of positive psychology?
