Description
Climate change scholarship has increasingly focused on the nuanced role of immobility and/or mobility and critiqued the idea of a causal relationship between climate change and migration. But questions of gender and the precarious work of women migrants are overlooked aspects in this scholarship. This study will therefore provide a pilot-study and an exploratory examination of the gendered aspects of climate change mobility, with a particular focus on how women in Nepal experience and navigate work lives, vulnerability, and im/mobility in contexts of climate change.
