Description
My PhD project studies the role of corporations as humanitarian actors in the global migration crisis. Through ethnographic case studies of NGO-business partnerships focused on migration, the project explores how the practices and politics of aid change when businesses become aid providers. By combining critical theories on CSR, migration industries and humanitarianism, the project aims to contribute knowledge on the political and humanitarian implications of the changing position and authority of corporations in society.
