My research examines the social dimensions of climate change and green agendas in the Global South. How do people and institutions respond to environmental change, what are the outcomes of climate projects and nature conservation, and how can local action be supported?

Current Research

My current work includes:

  • "Governing Nature-based Solutions". Joint research programme on the governance and outcomes of carbon off-set projects in Kenya.
  • "Transformative Knowledge for People, Forests and Climate". Joint research programme on Citizen Science and knowledge governance in Tanzania.
  • Policy studies of Locally Led Adaptation and community-based biodiversity conservation in practice.
