Research areas

Manni Crone’s research focuses on the far-right in France. She examines the political and intellectual far right’s visions of geopolitics, ecology, paganism and democracy. Her research interests also include the role of ‘the occult’ on the radical Right as well as notions of an Aryan/Indo-European people.

Current research

Manni Crone’s research focuses on the far-right in France. She works on the history of the far-right as well as current developments. She has a particular interest in the intellectual movement of the French New Right, whose ideas, today, are feeding into the Identitarian movement and a global far-right. Notably, she examines the New Right’s ideas about geopolitics, ecology, democracy, and occult paganism. She has published on the far right’s eco-agrarian utopias as well as movements and parties on the French far-right including Marine Le Pen’s party, Rassemblement National.

Manni Crone is part of the research cluster “World of the right” at the University of Copenhagen, coordinated by Georg Walther Wink.
