Flemming Splidsboel Hansen does research especially into conditions in the post-Soviet space, including in for instance Russia and Ukraine. His thematic focus is on domestic developments, foreign policy and the use of military capacities.

Current research

Flemming Splidsboel Hansen is currently working on especially information operations, including the use of disinformation. This is to increase our understanding of both the theoretical basis for the operations as well as their use. As part of this he is also focusing on the use of new technology (in particular Artificial Intelligence) in the dissemination and combating of disinformation and in the collection and processing of data in the military battle space.
