Daniel Kienzle’s research focuses on the intersection between EU defence policy and political economy. Specifically, he examines the implications of EU defence spending on the defence readiness of member states. In this context, he uses quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse questions such as who benefits from EU defence spending and how it is distributed among industrial actors and smaller and larger member states.
