Research areas
Corine van Emmerik’s research explores processes of change that operate from the interstices of politics. Her work examines how alternative futures are imagined and activated in everyday life and practices, mainly drawing on speculative and pragmatist thought. She completed her PhD in sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on how alternative social realities in Palestine are and can be made productive for alternative futures.
Current research
Corine van Emmerik is currently working on a project exploring the future of peacekeeping.
