Anne Marx Lorenzen’s research focuses primarily on geopolitics, international political economy (IPE), and sustainability. She is especially interested in global energy transition and climate mitigation efforts in developing countries.

Current research

Anne Marx Lorenzen is currently developing her PhD thesis as part of a larger research project that explores how China and Japan, through their development aid, can influence and diffuse norm formation in developing countries. The focus of the research project is particularly on the sustainability of Chinese and Japanese renewable energy projects in Cambodia, Indonesia and Ethiopia.
