Dataset

Description

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses from a computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) survey conducted in Yemen. The survey examines household access to electricity, use of solar energy, perceptions of energy affordability and reliability, attitudes toward public authority and local governance, perceived social and environmental consequences of solar-energy expansion, and selected demographic characteristics. The survey covers seven governorates: Sana’a City, al-Baidha, Taiz, Hadhramawt, Dhamar, Shabwah, and Aden. The sample includes respondents living in areas under the control of the Internationally Recognized Government (IRG) and areas under the control of the Sana’a-based de facto authorities. Data collection took place in August 2025 (N = 1000).
