Description

Greenland PM has criticised an upcoming trip by high-profile United States officials to the self-governing Danish territory that President Donald Trump has been outspoken about his desire to control.

The trip, which will include a visit to an American military base, will be led by Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance, and White House national security adviser Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

Ulrik Pram Gad of the Danish Institute for International Studies called the visit an "aggressive move" by Washington.

"They haven't been invited by Greenlanders. They haven't been invited by the Danes. They just announced that they will go," Mr Gad said.
