When aid stops – confinement, cuts, and diaspora responses

Activity: Participating in or Organising an EventParticipation in or Organisation of Workshop, Roundtable, Seminar, Course

Description

Together with a stellar panel of scholars this seminar examines what happens when established aid and development systems are disrupted. We focus on how US aid cuts and EU containment policies shape the lives and mobility of migrants and refugees in Africa, and how these dynamics intersect with diaspora-led initiatives that seek to compensate for failing or absent state support.
