CAMPS & BORDERS – Historical and comparative reflections from the Americas to North Africa

Activity: Participating in or Organising an EventParticipation in or Organisation of Workshop, Roundtable, Seminar, Course

Description

This seminar offers critical scholarly insight into these unfolding dynamics, and asks: What can we learn by comparing the architecture of bordering and the lived experiences of migrants in the Mediterranean and North Africa with those in the Americas? How do current US immigration policies reflect and reshape broader global patterns of displacement and control? What new forms of sociality, visual narration, and political resistance take shape within the constructions of camps, controls, and crossings?
