    Abstract

Ethiopian women’s migration is influenced by an array of interconnected factors including environmental degradation, poverty, limited social protection, political unrest, and vulnerability to gender-based violence. These factors all potentially increase vulnerability to human trafficking. Focusing only on the risks faced during irregular travel to and work arrangements in the Arab Gulf states and Lebanon may overlook the risks involved in staying put.
